I work with art in a variation of different themes, tecniques and material. Forms, colour or surfaces and the interplay in between launch a process. To work with different expressions in a theme or projekt gives birth to new discoveries. The exchange with other artists and cultures enable the possibility to develop artistic skills and thoughts.
Graphics Just finished the third year education at Grafikskolan in Stockholm 2017-2020 The education contains graphic tecniques as; bookprint, woodcut, platelithography, stonelithography, etching, aquatint, FP engraving and silkscreen. For several years I have worked with FP-engraving. A tecnique very exciting with possibilities for mixing different expressions; drawings, photos, ink and printing with different plates. I also give courses in this tecnique. Since ten years i am a member of Södertälje Konstnärskrets and we have a fully equiped workshop for graphic printing. We also have a network with other workshops and associations in the region. Painting Recidency at Kunstnerhuset in Lofoten, Norway, Russia, Vässingsö, Latvia and on the Westcoast have been important for my painting expressions. Through workshops between artists at ”Plein Air” in Russia 2015-18, Latvia 2008-10 and in Sweden 2019 I had the opportunity to meet artists with another cultural background. Invited to Japan through EAJAS – Emerging Art from Japan and Around Scandinavia 2012/16 – an exchange between swedish and japanese artists. The expeiences have been importatnt for my artistic development and especially in painting. Sculpture To highlight the movement, the rythm, form and surface in sculpture is exciting and challanging. A variation of different materials but mainly fibrous betong and stoneware applies to my interests. Themes have been to express the clear form but also others in animals and figures. A scolarship enabled experimental sculpture in different clays and ways of firing outside. More about my other work: www.ateljepegasos.com |
